The Accommodation...

This detached split-level villa has been architect designed to provide modern open plan living against a stunning mountain view backdrop. It has been finished to a high specification, and is furnished and equipped to a good standard.

An impressively large entrance hall flows into the split level spacious living and dining space and then continues onto the kitchen / breakfast area. From the living area, there are full length sliding patio doors which flood the villa with natural light and lead straight out onto the terrace and pool area. The patio doors frame the stunning views of the mountains when viewed from inside.

Sleeping…

The villa has two double bedrooms each with a king size bed. Each bedroom has a wardrobe, air conditioning and a hairdryer. The main bedroom is ensuite and has patio doors that open on to the terrace. Bedroom two is at the front of the house and has a shower room next to it, effectively giving each bedroom exclusive toileting and showering facilities. There is ample bed linen and towels provided.

Olive Villa has a fully equipped modern kitchen with oven hob and grill and an integrated microwave, a dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer. The kitchen is well stocked with a good selection of crockery and utensils. There is a breakfast bar and stools in the kitchen area and a separate dining table and chairs.

The lounge has a comfortable sofa with a TV and DVD player. The satellite TV has a large number of English speaking programmes and also has channels from other countries. There is a collection of DVDs, games and books provided for your entertainment.

Relaxing outside…

The garden surrounds the villa and is fully enclosed. The garden has been well planted with a variety of trees and shrubs including lemon and lime trees, a banana tree and of course some olive trees. The garden has a terraced area for sunbathing.
On the travertine terrace, there is a sitting area with a coffee table and chairs, which is ideal for relaxing  with a glass of wine or a gin and tonic and watching the sun setting over the mountains. There is also a separate table and chairs on the terrace for breakfast or dining al fresco whilst enjoying the surrounding views.

BBQ enthusiasts will be delighted with the thoughtfully designed built in BBQ located at the side of the house. BBQ utensils are provided and charcoal can be purchased in the village supermarket.

Swimming & sunbathing…

The villa has a good sized swimming pool with a uniform depth of around 5ft 6" (1.7m). The mosaic-tiled pool has been beautifully designed with Roman steps leading into the pool - ideal for sitting on and easy access. The pool is cleaned daily and maintained by a local agent. Parking

You really don’t need a car to enjoy a holiday in Turunc but if you decide to use a car, the villa has private parking in its own car port located at the front of the property.

On site support

We would like you to enjoy your stay at our villa and if we can help in any way, please do not hesitate to ask. Our local agents are based in the village and are on hand for any support you may need. A guests’ house manual is available in the villa giving useful advice and tips.

Accessibility & Locale

The villa is a split-level bungalow and is located just outside the village on a road with a gradient. The section of road near the villa is quite steep and is currently unmade and may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties. Please check with us before booking if you have any questions about the villa’s accessibility.

Olive Villa was one of the first villas to be built in our location. Over the last few years, a number of plots have been sold and there are now a large number of properties being built in the immediate area. In Turkey, the building  season usually runs from the end of October to the end of June. During that period, there will be noise and disturbance from the building works. In other months of the year, minor building activities are permitted and guests may hear some noise from this work. Olive Villa now has several immediate neighbours and guests can expect some noise from these neighbouring properties including dogs barking etc. Although there are some new neighbours in the vicinity, the views from the villa remain stunning.

Incredible!

This was my first time visiting Olive Villa and it won’t be the last! I had an amazing time, predominately due to the lovely accommodation. I arranged my transfers through the hosts Beverley and David, who were fantastic. The lovely house has everything you need and more. Unexpectedly, my partner and I ended up staying in the villa more than we ate out so we could enjoy the sunsets and the tranquility that you get by being 10 minutes outside of the ‘hustle and bustle’. The location is fantastic with everything you need only a short walk away or for the days you want to relax in peace, you can lay by the pool without seeing a single person! Olive Villa caters for everything. Thank you so much Beverley and David, your home is beautiful.

Peaceful Bliss

The villa is located on a hillside overlooking an ancient olive grove, over which the sun, sets making for a spectacular evening view for cocktails and an incredibly peaceful place to spend the day by the pool or an evening BBQing. The pool and outside area makes the most of the panoramic views from the terrace Sitting on the edge of the valley there was a welcome warm gentle breeze most afternoons. We were really impressed that the Villa felt so isolated and yet its a 10 minute walk into town. The villa is very modern clean spacious and cool, loads of space for cooking, huge American style fridge freezer and and plenty of space for a family to relax indoors. It was also immaculate. The town its self is a 10 minute walk, the restaurants are great and there's a few supermarkets very near by to get whatever you need. There are traditional bakeries, local markets and all of the spices you could possibly imagine. The perfect villa to experience Turkey.

Loved it! Great villa for a fantastic holiday.

We stayed in Olive Villa for a week at the beginning of July and we absolutely loved it. David and Beverly organised an airport transfer car that came with drinks a TV and WiFi which made the journey to Turunç an experience in itself! The villa is fantastic, everything is immaculate, finished to a high standard and the views are stunning. We arrived late in the evening but David and Beverly had provided some basics: bread, butter, milk, drinks and a bottle of wine which was a nice touch. Sun lounger towels are also provided which saves luggage space! The location of the villa is excellent, it is just a 5 mins walk from the Main Street in Turunç. In the villa it feels very remote and secluded as the views are uninterrupted and you are tucked away from the noise of Turunç yet you are only 5 mins away from a range of bars, restaurants and other activities so you sort of enjoy the best of both worlds. On your first night there you will notice how fantastic the location is as the sun sets almost perfectly in the space between 2 hills that the villa directly faces, providing great views and sunlight on the back of the villa all day. There’s plenty of options for places to eat. In the villa welcome book there are suggestions on things to do and places to eat and drink. We went through each restaurant recommendation and enjoyed them all: çan being the favourite! If, like us, you run out of GnT’s by the pool and are in a state of relaxation that makes walking to the shop a ridiculous notion, there is a shop in Turunç that takes delivery orders by WhatsApp! Details were provided in the welcome book. We will definitely be going back to Turunç again, the weather, food and views are fantastic and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The villa provided excellent value for money and is in a great location with beautiful views.

Fabulous villa, so peaceful with a superb swimming pool and fantastic view.

If you like peace and tranquillity but not too far from all amenities this is a superb place to stay. The villa is very spacious. Very well equipped with lots of outdoor space and a great swimming pool. Any needs are swiftly taken care of by the local agents who look after the villa for David and Beverley. Turunc is a small town but has everything you need for a fabulous holiday.

Only one word to describe Olive Villa - "Stunning"

Olive Villa is a stunning property with beautiful views. From the moment you step into the grand entrance hall, there is a wow factor as you immediately find yourself in a tastefully decorated and furnished property with high ceilings and a general feeling of space. The views across the infinity pool from the living area and the patio terrace, make it feel like the Taurus mountains are just a part of the property. The two bedrooms are spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and the open plan kitchen with breakfast bar is great too with all mod cons. A separate dining table is there too, should you wish to dine in. The walk into Turunc takes about 10-15 mins where you'll find shops, bars and restaurants and a small harbour area. There is a boat, both to and from Marmaris from the harbour, which runs hourly off season and more frequently in the high season for approx 20 Turkish Lira each way ( Approx £2.70). There is a bus as well from Turunc to Marmaris for approx 6 Turkish Lira each way. The road to and from the Villa to Turunc is unmade for about the last 2-3 mins of the walk, but after a meal out that can be a good thing! It is lit up at night! The Managing Agents at Homes Etc, Emre and Semih are most helpful and professional, which is reassuring when booking a property abroad and they will also organise taxis to and from the Villa from the Airport, in advance, if required and which I would recommend. Overall, this is a fabulous Villa with tasteful furnishings, nice gardens and patio areas plus an infinity pool with beautiful views across the mountains.
